This notice describes how Tulix Systems operates Caption Desk. For questions or a deletion request, email info@tdemo.com.
What the service stores
The service stores your account email, a password hash, session and security records, and information about your jobs. A job includes the uploaded recording, its filename, selected service and language, processing status, resulting transcript or subtitles, and any applicable payment reference. Passwords are not stored as readable text.
Why the information is used
Your account lets the service restrict access to your jobs. Recordings are processed to provide the service you request. Operators can access uploaded media and results to handle failures, answer support requests, and perform requested human review. Account and request information is also used to apply usage limits and maintain the service.
Organizations and shared access
Each account receives a private workspace. You may create additional workspaces and add other registered users. Members of a workspace can access recordings and results belonging to that workspace. Service administrators retain access for operating the system. Only add people who are authorized to view the workspace content.
Translations and voice generation
When enabled and selected, installed translation models and local speech synthesis process recognized text to generate translated captions and synthetic voice tracks. These transformations run on the service host; network downloads may be needed when an operator installs or updates language packages. Translated and synthesized content can contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed. Speech output is not a replica of the original speaker.
Where processing happens
Transcription runs on the server operating this service. The transcription worker does not send the recording to an external transcription API. This does not make the files end-to-end encrypted: the service operator and server administrators can access them.
Retention and downloads
Completed job files are retained for 7 days. Your workspace shows an expiry when one is set. Temporary, abandoned, failed, cancelled, or unpaid jobs may be removed earlier or under the service’s cleanup rules. Download deliverables before they expire. Minimal account, job, payment, and operational records may remain after media deletion; backup copies may remain until their backup retention period ends.
Cookies and server records
Essential cookies maintain sign-in and protect form submissions. These pages do not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. The server may keep operational and security logs, including request information such as IP addresses. These records help diagnose problems and enforce access limits.
Optional email and payment providers
If email delivery is configured, the operator’s SMTP provider receives the address and message needed to deliver password resets and service notifications. If Stripe payment mode is enabled, Stripe handles checkout and receives the information needed to process a payment. Payment-card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout, not on this server. Free-mode jobs do not require a payment provider or card.
Your choices
Only upload recordings you have permission to share. Do not submit highly sensitive recordings unless you have first agreed appropriate handling with the operator. You can stop uploading at any time, download available results, and contact support about access, corrections, account removal, or file deletion. Requests may require verification of account ownership.
Changes
The operator may update this notice when the service changes. Current file-retention information and any price are displayed in the service before you submit or confirm an order.
